An ancient craft with modern relevance.

The great hall in Stokesay Castle.  Built in the 13th Century

Stokesay Hall

Timber frames are built with large timbers and intricate mortise and tenon joinery held together with oak pegs to create a variety of load bearing structures. By this definition, the oldest remains of timber framing found date back 7300 years. Cultures around the world practiced and furthered this craft with buildings still standing a thousand years after being raised.

Throughout the ages, as with many master crafts, the knowledge and skills were passed down through guilds and apprenticeships accumulating knowledge and rich traditions that bestow pride and honor to the tradesman.

We are fortunate enough to have been handed the torch, to hold it for a time and manifest that passed down knowledge and skill into beautifully crafted structures.

We believe that what we build should inspire, should enlighten the heart, should contribute to wellbeing that amplifies to other facets of ones life. We would love to build for you.
